A brief synopsis of each itinerary is provided below. In each case it is assumed that your walking safari forms part of an overall trip, which could include game viewing elsewhere in Kenya, a stay around one of its lakes, or a period spent relaxing on one of its idyllic beaches. We would be pleased to put together every element of your trip for you. Just contact us.
A full description of each of the lodges mentioned below can be found in our main KenyaAway website, as can all the other information that you might find useful in planning a visit here.
The first two itineraries are located within conservancies bordering onto the Maasai Mara, enabling separate visits - game drives - to be taken to the Mara, although the wildlife in the conservancies is equally as plentiful - with the added advantage that far fewer vehicles are allowed in here.
The Ol Pejeta and Lewa Conservancies stand alone, historically largely ranch land, but now populated with a truly amazing range of African wildlife. The game viewing here rivals that to be found anywhere else in Kenya, and the walking opportunities are superb.
To complete the picture we also describe some of the already existing opportunities for walking in Kenya, although not of course following the previously described pattern that we ourselves have created.
